Gaining independence

Over the past few days, I realised that I am actually a lot more independent than I thought I were. Perhaps, I have finally grown and matured.

Feeling fortunate and extremely blissful

Reflecting back, in the past two years of my working life, I overcame and did many things that I never thought I could do. I realised that I could actually master anything that I wanted and I am amazed at my capabilities of doing so.

Like what Thomas Edison said, "If we did all the things that we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves." I found this sentence particularly true.

I remember, at one point in my life, I was learning taekwando, learning yoga and training in HTA. In the process, I was able to get a black belt in Taekwando and complete a marathon.

Anyway, I am feeling blissful today as I had the opportunity to spend quality time with my family. Every second is indeed a blessing from the heavens.

My third marathon!!

The last time I updated this blog was last year when I completed the Standard Chartered Marathon 2010. That was the second marathon that I had ever run in my life. Although my second marathon timing was much worse than the first marathon which was the Adidas Sundown Marathon 2010 (I completed that in 5 hours 4 minutes and 15 seconds!), I'm glad that I have improved my timing for my third marathon! I just completed the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2011 yesterday morning and my timing was 6 hours 18 minutes and 46 seconds! Congratulations to me!

Completed my second full marathon in 6 hours 38 minutes and 42 seconds despite the total lack of training. Amazing!

I need to be responsible for my own learning

My aim is to complete reading the books on my table before I start working on Monday.

I am glad that I started chatting with one of my ex-primary schoolmate on Facebook today.
